    Why the accelerator 'button'?

    Does anyone know why there is a 'button' at the bottom of the footwell where the accelerator is? The only reason I can think of is to de-activate the speed limiter cruise control. Other than that... pointless?

    accelerator pedal

    can any one tell me if this is normal,when accelerating hard the pedal feels smooth, then halfway down seems to stick just for a moment then runs smooth again,is this normal or does the car have a problem?. thanks brian 8)

    Couple of questions...

    As I crept past 500 miles last night, I thought i was time to start using all of the throttle. When I depress the accelerator it feels like there is something stopping me from hitting the throttle stop, it I then apply slightly more pressure I can feel it move past this point and hit the stop on...
