which Bosch battery, S4 001?

Hi All

I have used a Bosch S4 001 44Ah 440A car battery for around 10 years. It works fine but I've been told it's not the official one for the 182.

Looking at other threads it appears others use it also.

I'm looking to get a new battery. What do people think?

I have the Bosch S4 002 in #407, has done sterling service for the last 8years or so. Seem to be about £60 online currently.

thanks Ed, the S4 002 is 52Ah so more than my current 44Ah.

I looked at 13 sold T's on CCs to see what they had. It's a real mixed including 44, 45, 50, 52, 53 Ah.

The renault oem battery was listed as
BAT LB1 47AH 420A - 7711130087

Any 063 battery will do as they 182's don't struggle to start and it's unlikely we will fit some banging bass in the boot. I have a GSF own brand 44Ah one presently and it works perfectly.
