be very interesting to see what you think of it. Not sure it'll do the Trophy too much good though - the ECU is programmed for 98 ron fuel i think.

I'm not sure if you would see an improvement? As cue said, they are set up for 98ron

"The ignition retards to compensate for 95 - 98 (any more than 98 is a waste)" - apparantly

was £2.42 per litre - £100 odd to fill tank lol

I can tell you now categorically that BP 102 is a complete waste of money in an unmodified Trophy. The extra knock resistance of the 102 RON fuel is arbitrary when the compression ratios remain the same, the only point in a higher octane rating is to resist pre-ignition (sometimes called 'pinking') from the higher charge temperatures associated with higher cylinder pressures. Without remapping the ECU to allow higher compression, the extra octane will be a waste, it does not contain more energy or is more explosive (you could say less explosive in fact). Better to stick with BP 97 or Shell V-Power as they have the best additives and will keep your engine and fuel system cleaner, allowing a more efficient output.

The reoprt published recently on PH suggests that Tesco 99 gave the best increase in power and BP 102 gave an initial boost but then dropped off!

I've heard that a lot too, but the motorsport company who ran it in 3 cars over a month found it to be the best for performance, they then ran it for another 4 months in an M3CSL and found it to still be the best :S
