I am having my wheels refurbed, and have been advised that, for future easy wash off with water cleaning, I need to seal them.
Gtechniq C5 & Feynlab Wheel & Caliper sealants have been suggested.
Has anyone had any experience with these, or any other suggestions?
The price for 30ml is roughly the same, though it would seem the Feynlab requires infrared curing, which as I don`t have an IR lamp would be a complication.
Both claim to be effective for 12 months between applications.
30ml does not seem very much, is this enough to treat 4 wheels inside & out?
Thanks in advance for any replies.

With no IR lamp I guess it’s the C5. They are teeny tiny bottles but 30ml will be enough to do back and front, you really need very little as it’s a chemical reaction so more than the thinnest of coats is a waste. I would use this as a base layer and then if you’re really keen something like the poor boys, mint rims to give then that extra sacrificial layer and a little bit of depth.

C5 all the way. Although I've heard good things about KKD revolve. I have always used C5 and am more than happy. Prep is key.

Thanks for the replies.
I`m afraid I lack the commitment to apply the the Poorboys on a regular basis,
I will go with the C5 and top coat it with Carpro Reload.

+1 for C5 here. But make sure your wheels are absolutely clean and degreased (y)

I treated the wheels with C5 and then Reload 24 hours later, straight from the powder coaters, along with my second set of ZV7`s. as I got 27,000 miles out of the first set, and they still had 3mm of tread remaining.
I must say I`m pleased with the result, but the proof of the pudding will be the first wash after a few weeks use.
