I have a crunch going in to third once the gearbox has warmed up which makes me think a rebuild is needed.
As I need the car, I think a replacement JC5 130 is needed.
First and foremost, does anyone have advice for buying a recon box from somewhere who will take the existing box as part-ex? I've done this with a Golf GTi gearbox in the past and was a favourable outcome!
Failiing that, does anyone have a known good JC5 130 they could sell me? Shipping is obviously an issue at the moment; if you can ship it, great, if not, somewhere near(ish) to Cambridge would be ideal!
