Itd be great if they had stock. Just looked online and the michelins arent listed....

Im hoping my order with camskill arrives, i ordered a set 10 or so days ago, to be told they were out of stock, then suddenly they had more listed so i re-ordered them. Ive got my fingers crossed there on there way...

PS3`s back on Camskill this morning.
£30 cashback on a set of 4, though the ticket price is up by £13 a tyre since February 15th.
2 day dispatch indicates Michelin UK stock.

Crazy to think I bought 4 Michelin pilot sport 4 for my golf r32 for under £350

I think the PS3 is the best tyres for the trophy though.

Ixell 205-110. They are painted by the way, there are no powder coat colours that are an exact match

hoolio sent me the note above regarding the colour code Dave

Do you know if there is a generic name or colour code for the best powder coat colour match Nick? I’m looking to get mine done and then fit the new PS3s which are on their way…

Hi Nick. Thanks for that. Yep i knew it was Ixell 205-110

I had a spare set of turinis done a few years ago, but were powder coated, and they arnt the correct colour, as , like you say there isnt a powder that matches...

So ill be stipulating they are painted in ixell, then powder coated clear....

Worth bearing mind when comparing prices !

Fronts are needing replaced soon (sooner than I realised at that!) and probably going to stick with PS3, as curious as I am to try the Continental Premium Contact 6 I don't want to be the canary down the mine in case they're on the soft side.

The Conti PC6 certainly seems to have had some good reviews recently, and I do wonder whether, as it's a more modern tyre in design and no doubt rubber compound than the PS3, it might indeed be a superior performing tyre.

We now just need a willing volunteer to give them a roll for us... ;)

I've also heard there's a new Yokohama just out, the AD09, though having just done a quick search, it's only available in 17inch and upwards. Which seems a shame.

my car has had AD08RS since 110k, now on 122.5k. I had a chat with a friend about this, he rkns with our cars at 1T kerb weight, it takes a while to get them up to temperature, explains a bit of wheel spin in 2nd pulling out of a roundabout going from 20mph to 50mph to get onto a dual carraigeway. I'd go with michelins if possible, seem to be the best all round tyre.

There is the option of putting the irreplaceable 16" Trophy Speedline`s into storage, where they cannot be kerbed, and buying some cheap 17" rims

and running 205/40R17 Michelin PS5's.

Overall dimensions only differ by 5mm at most from 205/45R 16's.
