Think most people changed them because they disintegrate, and they are not very free flowing, and noise all down to how they are made, it does not have to be any louder than standard if you do not want it to be

Never understood why anyone changed the exhaust from original. Weight saving and performance perhaps, but no benefits out weigh the resulting booming noise and boy racer image.

As its been said 90% of 182s change there exhaust systems due to the fact they corrode very badly from the inside out and fall to bits.
As its over £800 for a back box along and over £250 for the centre section it makes sense to buy an aftermarket system which is going to last a lot longer and be cheaper.

You shouldn't need to worry unless they're 5" jap style slash cut tail pipes!

The Scorpion one one mine sounds nothing of the boy racer sort at all. If I knew nothing of them I'd think it came from the factory.
