So there will no longer be a brace of T's racing around the french countryside, or is Jeff selling his as well?
As far as I know he will never sell his!
I just don't get to use mine anymore, and I'm getting another motor ... not a hot hatch though

Would be nice to see him pop onto the forum to say hello, always entertaining.

Six years of ownership, it'll be under your skin now, you'll be back! :)

So after waiting for almost a month it's sadly bad news..

The car had problems with the power steering so was waiting for that to be fixed.

Mileage is 70k not 60k as advertised.

And then the other bits like big dent in door, alloys need a refurb, not the best tyres, gear gaitor thing missing, heater control panel needs changing, no original splitter etc etc

And part of the body got damaged when it was in the garage.

I think it was good I never got it as by the time I finish to make it mint, it would cost me another 1k on top of 6750.

So now still looking for another one!!!

Hi all - I bought this car back in March. What a great handling machine!

I had the car inspected and, mechanically, it's in superb order.

As alluded to above, there are a few cosmetic tidy-ups to do:

- Inside:
- New gear stick gaiter
- New plastic centre console as existing one has an unused gear stick lock attached and looks a little unsightly
- New heater control surrounds and labellng
- I'll probably get a snappy steering wheel at some stage
- Aircon regas

- Outside:
- Dent on bonnet needs pushing out or I might even get a replacement and have sprayed
- Small ding in drivers door to have fixed
- Wheels to be refurbed
- Needs a good clay and polish all over and the black plastics restoring to former glory

All in all, £6k for a straight 69k mile Trophy with full history, plus c.£1k to tidy up as above = a happy chappy.

I'll post a pic sometime soon.

Will log in the owners register also.

The previous owner is a lying C*** he said it got smashed in the garage so he refunded my deposit.

We agreed £6750 so not sure why the time waster sold it for 6k? Well that's good for you then Rich. Enjoy the T [emoji3]

Sorry to hear that Jason. I found him straight forward to deal with but no idea how his dealings were with other prospective purchasers.

Hope you've now found a T? It's well worth persevering my friend.

I had it trailered back to the UK. Didn't have enough spare time to go and get it I'm afraid

Even at a £1k to sort it's still a cheap car. Big gamble but looking like it's paid off.

It wasn't really a gamble - inspection was all clear mechanically, and it's amazing how well you can scrutinise a car cosmetically over FaceTime these days.
