For sale is my 2005 Renaultsport Clio 182 Trophy - here are the key facts:
74,000 miles
2 original keys
4 owners since new
Full service history
All belts done
Shocks have been rebuilt
The cambelt, aux belt and dephaser were done in 2010 at 31,018 miles and again in 2013 at 46,742 miles.
I've owned the car for the past 4 years from 41,000 miles up to now and I have had it maintained regardless of cost by the best places within 1-2 hours of where I've been living (KTEC racing and Mark Fish Motorsport for all bar the most recent minor service which was with a local well-regarded Renault specialist).
I have also had it checked by Mark Fish out of the service schedule to make sure it's in good running order and had all items replaced as advised. I know this is becoming a collectible car and it's a car I've really cherished so I've worked very hard to keep it in good mechanical condition throughout my ownership.
It still has the original Recaro Trendline seats, lightweight Speedline Turini wheels (I just had these properly refurbed all round) and the all-important Sachs dampers.
The exhaust is a KTEC item as the originals always rust and fall off as I'm sure you all know! The silver trim inside and out was replaced with genuine carbon fibre by a precious owner (at the cost of £2000!). It also had a carbon air box from ITG (again fitted by previous owner who seemed to be into carbon!) which is the only aftermarket air box Mark Fish recommends and reckons gives more power (I have the original air box if you want it).
The air con condenser was replaced a while back as they can easily be broken by a rouge stone and now works perfectly and is protected by a fine wire mesh behind the grille to stop any future mishaps (again recommended by Mark Fish and tested on their race cars so no issues with cooling).
The front end does have a fair few stone chips - the paint is known for being soft - but then again, it is a 12 year old car and it's not bad for it's age. The steering wheel has had a bit of the classic 172/182 "melting effect" going on, but it's not falling apart like many. Otherwise the car is in absolutely excellent condition especially given its age.
I still have both original keys and masses of history and receipts for the work done.
I'm selling the car as I want something cheap to do Trackdays in and this is just too valuable and nice to do that to!
I'm looking for £8500 (not looking for offers) as I have spent a ton of money keeping this car in perfect mechanical condition and I'm confident it's one of the best available today.
The car is in Bath, Somerset and is garaged.
Only selling as I've had it for 4 years and want to try something different!
PM me for for info!
Cheers,
Rob
