I bought this car last September with a view to it being a keeper as I’d been looking for one for a long time. However, personal circumstances have now changed and I have decided to put the car up for sale.
The previous owner spent over £12,000 on the car over a period of about 2 years basically renewing or refurbishing almost every part of the car. The engine was stripped and fully rebuilt together with all the ancillaries. The Sachs dampers were rebuilt, repainted and new original stickers fitted. All the brakes and suspension were either replaced or refurbished and the car was resprayed with the front wings, bumper and bonnet having PPF applied. A new windscreen and seals were also fitted. All the sub frames and suspension components were powder coated.
A new steering wheel was fitted and the wheels were refurbished with brand new Toyo Proxes fitted.
During my ownership, I have fitted a Scorpion exhaust system, new exhaust mountings and recoated the underside with a rustproofing material, together with other details to enhance the car even further. The paintwork has had a full detail and a ceramic coating applied.
The car has done 104,000 miles but with all the work that has been carried out, it is basically like a new car and drives like one with the gearchange and brakes giving a nice solid feel with no creaks or rattles from the suspension. The car has only covered around 1000 miles since all the work was completed.
The previous owner worked for Aston Martin and now works for Singer so the level of detail that is visible on the car was what convinced me this was the right one to buy.
Anyone that knows what Clio Trophy’s are all about will appreciate the condition and look of the car and with there only being about 350 cars left out of the original production run of 500 for the UK market, this has to be one of the best ones left.
I have over 360 photos that the previous owner took of the car during the refurbishment process which shows the level of detail and the work involved to make the car how it currently looks. The plate T6 PHY will stay with the car.
I have attached a number of photos but it will only let me attach 10 but I have loads more showing the car in greater detail if required; together with a list of all the new and/or refurbished parts that were fitted to the car during the restoration. Not sure how the photos will look but, like I said, I've loads more.
The car will be taxed from March 1st, so if anyone is interested, just let me know,
Price: £14,750.00
