they are! It’s brand new in the box, and the charger is a conditioner also,it can bring it back from flat if required...

I agree in keeping it charged, can’t be much good for it!

I can tell you now from the £800 bill, the charger will not bring it back from fully flat im afraid.
Theyre best off kept on charge if not used. If used regularly theyre no problem at all.

That’s why i bought the conditioner with it, trickle charge...
Any battery going completely flat isn’t great
We use the smaller one where I work, haven’t replaced many, we use 60-70 per year, cracking way to save 10kg of weight!

He left his one in his nans garage over a whole winter and it went flat, we couldnt even open the doors. We ended up dragging (Yes i know) a brand new Trophy R out so we could get in the doors and get the bonnet open. Even with the conditioner and my LiFe04 Ctek, it was toast.
An expensive lesson for him.
Fantastic batteries though,. :)

yeah that's some upgrade then, currently running a 44amp one lol.

Only downside I see potentially is the safety - I know these are rated for cars, but giveen the exploding nature of lithium batteries if a seal is damaged during an accident, should they be located in the boot instead of a high impact area like the front/side wing?

I would say it’s safer than a lead acid, a lot less weight to move about, they are heavily tested... They are widely used in the racing and rallying fraternity, this is direct from the website

Further to add to that, these are able to be shipped by air freight.
You can’t do that with a lead acid.
I work for BAC, we use them in them in the Mono, have had zero battery failures in 118 cars...
There have been many accidents as you can imagine, no issues with the battery.

It’s a great way to take 10kg out of your car ;)

Also these are what Renault used as an OEM for the Trophy R. So if it passes legislation to be sold by an OEM it’s about as high quality and safe as you’ll get.

I’m not 100% sure it was used on the R26R, I know they are used by AML, BAC, prodrive etc
We at BAC supply them as standard on all cars
