Speedo cluster

Hi all, when I turn on the lights for my Clio the lights in the dash, specifically on the speedo, flicker. I took the panel out to have a look at it but it seems to be a sealed unit and I’m assuming it’s not really meant to be messed with.

If I were to replace the whole thing, am I right in saying the ecu stores the mileage so I wouldn’t have any strange issues with the mileage changing to the car of which the dash cluster came off of.

No the ecu does not retain the cars miles.
Replacement clocks will have to be corrected.

That’s annoying! Do you know if there is an easy way to sort out the mileage on a new one or is it easier to try and fix the original one?

Plenty of second clocks on eBay - try and find one near your mileage.

Or

Google mileage correction in your area. Perfectly legal.
