Hi chaps,

For quite a while now my girl has been running like a dream and I have a local garage who know there onions.
But recently I’ve been thinking I’d like to get a Clio specialist under the bonnet to give her a ‘proper’ check, for all the stuff specific to Clios that a regular grease monkey might not think of or know about.

I used to go to Fred, but is there anywhere else in the Birmingham area that people would recommend?

Cheers

Mat

I never used Fred. When I tried to he was in the middle of moving to Australia and recommended Sean Edwards in Shirley (www.seanedwardsrenaultspecialist.co.uk/). Had my belts, dephaser & water pump done there. He knows his Renaults.

Another vote for Sean. Had all my belts done there today, and he certainly knows his stuff, and was reasonably priced. (also help he's five mins from my house! )

I supplied a lot of the parts as I'm in the trade so I only paid labour pretty much.

Mick Pittman - Diamond Motors in Long Eaton. My Trophy (124) is going there for its belts in a couple of weeks.

Another vote for Mick Pittman at Diamond Motors from me, he has periodically completed exemplary work on my 200 Cup and I'll also will be taking my Trophy to him for significant work such as belts etc in the future. For me it's worth the trip from West Yorkshire for his expertise and attention to detail.

If I were looking to improve the performance of my Clio (air intakes, remap etc) where would people recommend?
