Bluetooth is your best way, If your pc doesn't have bluetooth you can get a USB stick that plugs in for about a tenner
Yup get a dongle, i've got the D500, really easy to set up and send pics back and forth. Got mine from rip off world for about 12 squid and its good for 15 meters.
not a bad price, internet sites seem to be around £20 inc postage. Best try and get a Class 1.1 dongle, they are good for around 50 meters....although I'm not sure why you'd need that 
My mac bluetooth works quite well, when i walk out the room it realises its out of range and pauses what ever music is playing, walk back in and it resumes

Thats the one i've got, only problem is the anoying blue flashing light, so i've taped over it. Other wise, really simple to copy and swap files about, you can even search your pc files using the phone.
