I’ve spent a few days in the south of France this week. All I kept boring my wife with was “definitely bringing the Trophy next year!”
Highlights were Route Napoleon from Castellane to Grasse and the road over the Gorges du Verdon. These roads were made for the Clio Trophy!
The Billabong made me smile…

Agreed! The section of the RN from Castellane to Grasse is superb! I haven't been since 2007 (when I took ownership of #165) and I think a trip there is well overdue!

Sounds like a pretty nice way to round out the year.

After the WW, do a week on some of those legendary European roads, especially those once used by Evo.

Be a nice way to conclude the year that is the Trophy's 20th birthday... maybe 😉

Well, I will probably have time seeing as I will be without a job in two weeks time, Francis! :ROFLMAO: I was considering taking the rest of the year off!

Hi Marrow (tell me if you go by anything else)

The Targa is mine. It’s a recent swap from a Turbo Cab. An all round better car. It’s the new t-hybrid GTS. I’m not one of those people that hates new stuff or progress. It’s very linear. Amazing performance and they have managed to “pipe in” both inductions and exhaust noise to the cabin. Via real pipes and not digitised.
The Alipne is s very special car. Always fancied one but don’t have the room(or permission to make room 😬)

Hi Pete

Wow, the new Targa. Handsome machine, perhaps even handsome(r) with silver wheels? I watched Tim Rodie's review, link below. He rather liked it :)

I think the A110 is my favourite modern car. I had a weekend test drive in a GT just over a year ago. Wasn't perfect, nothing is, but I couldn't stop looking at. It felt small and low, and special. I'd like to try an R, but doubt they are really worth the huge premium over the base model.

I go by most things - including Mark :)

Wheel colour is a whole new thread for discussion. I’ve always been a silver wheeler (I’m 54).
The fashion for black wheels used to bug me a lot. But having lived with the GTS, which has off black centre locks as standard I get it. It works with the car and I’m a fan of keeping the car as close to standard as I can. I like to think that those boffins at Porsche know what they wanted to achieve and I’ll go with it.
I grew up in a world of chrome hub caps (Dads Woodley Six) and then plastic wheel trims, and so on. Car design has moved faster than I can keep up with which is why my little collection includes a few noughties and nineties gems!
For now, I’ll embrace the black wheel. Or titanium!

Of course it should be Wolseley Six!
What a disgusting car. He wanted. Triumph 2000 but my Grandfather surprised him with this creation!

Hi Pete - I think the number plate says it all :ROFLMAO: .

It's a curious car, the rear is almost a mirror of the front. Curiously ugly?

How about my configuration? I won't mention wheel colour ;)
