On #31 I had an MOT advisory last June relating to corrosion on the rear spring (offside).

I suspect with so little mileage the same will appear this year.

However, are the original rear springs still available, to buy ?

If not, then do I look at Cooksport items or can I simply blast and paint mine etc. ?

Thanks

No longer available and as rare as hens teeth second hand. I would always be a little wary of refurbing a rusty spring but your choice Based on condition.

Thanks Hoolio I'll get a closer look as it may just be superficial flaking ... fingers crossed. If I need new, then I assume I buy CookSport ?

When I get around to it the set of Mark Fish springs will be going on all round on 307.

Not sure how these would work with the front setup but a good deal!

Cooksport springs on the rear offer quite a noticeable difference in ride height so I’d suggest Cup springs from Renault - they’re so close to OEM you’d be hard pressed to tell the difference.

I was led to believe the Trophy has 182 Cup springs from factory and they are NLA from Renault?

Denoted by the red and white square stamps, same setup as the 182 Cup by way of rear springs

As its been said the Rear 182 Cup & Trophy springs are the same.

They are black with Red / White dots and as pointed out they are now no longer made and can not be bought from Renault uk or Renault France.

They are also very very rare to get second hand and don't come up that often.

If it was me I would be buying the full Mark Fish spring kit (Front & Back) as they are designed in mind for the trophy running Sachs dampers.
