Thought the stereo had sounded abit quiet in the back ever since i bought the car, discovered there are no rear speakers! Went to fit some coax's and found a beige and pink wire on passenger side, and a beige and brown wire on the drivers side.
Any ideas which is positive and which is negative? thanks :)

Thanks mate, rear right hand has beige and brown lol. So Trophies were made with no rear speakers in quarter panel trim then?

The Trophy is fitted with rear speakers as standard, well as far as I'm aware?
Mine has them equipped and the loom is standard / unmodified.

Trophy came with rear speakers as standard and loom should be there.

If the speaker are out i would have had a guess that maybe it has been stripped at some point possibly for track ?

They definitely have rear speakers as standard, as Marc has already pointed out.

To save weight they used lightweight speakers with small magnets and less power compared to the FF 182. (I think).

They weren't "stripped out for track" they were stripped out because they were shite quality and blew, rattled and buzzed very quickly (mine went within 1000 miles) so people just removed them because it was a nicer place to be without them.

No claim to be a guru here, just lived with one for ten years.

There is a school of thought that rear speakers are for the benefit of rear passengers. For maximum driver enjoyment you should focus on front (component) speakers, an amp and a sub and ignore rears.

Don't know how true it is but it certainly works for me.
