car to rear beam short flexibles i would go for a goodridge kit and then do the fronts at you leisure

the hard lines with flexible to calliper can be got pre formed that go across the rear beam. No idea how much they are at renault. otherwise your fabricating them.

Calipers I have never done tbh.

Obviously I will need to blank the lines off while I do it so what's the easiest way to tackle that? I went to bleed the brakes and snapped a nipple so have decided to go the whole hog for the MOT.

Your bleeding anyway so I would have thought blanking is irrelevant.

I would look to new callipers to save time on the rear. Doubt they are anything special. And might not be mega money at ecp.

Yeah they do a part exchange aswell but was unsure if I needed any clips or some odd French bits before I pulled it all apart

If I recall correctly there are some spring u shaped spacer things around the car to beam area which are probably worth replacing.
Although that might only be the fronts.. it’s been a while ?

BRT Motorsport supply a rear axle brake line kit that dispenses with the short flexi hoses.

Clio 172 / 182 Rear Axle Hose (brtmotorsport.co.uk)

Don`t forget to get a new pad spring kit.

I bought a pair of Ridex calipers from Autodoc, but 2 years on, I have noticed when changing the brake pads that the dust cover boots over the piston have perished.
Acceptable if you consider them as expendables for the money, £120 the pair.

Brake Caliper RIDEX 78B0143 — Buy now! (autodoc.co.uk)

If you are not in a hurry, you could wait for these Lauber calipers to come back into stock, or source elsewhere.

You may also discover the handbrake cables are passed their best, but again they are NLA. 8200228260 rh & 82002238347 lh.
These Borg & Beck cables are known to fit, which a lot of aftermarket cables don`t.

Good luck.

I just noticed the RH Ridex caliper has gone out of stock.
No reason you could not go for RH Lauber & LH Ridex.

Does the rear axle hose come as a pair as its not very clear in picture and can it still be clipped?

Yes, it`s £55 for the pair. I don`t know what the delivery costs are other than orders over £100 are free to UK.

Looking ate their site, front hoses and some brake fluid will get you to £105

Sorry I cannot answer regarding the clips, as I managed to get the OE hoses 8200146855/6 a couple of years ago when they were still available.

Obviously some of the bends in the OE pipes cannot be copied.

I`m sure BRT can advise you on fitment tips.

I can get the long axle pipe still so might go that route on drivers side but can't get passenger side.

I refurbed the rear beam on my 182 and as ever with Renault they suddenly seem to stop making parts which are handed.
went down the braided brake line route after buying the OS one!
Luckily my original axle clips came off ok and I refitted them with some waterproof adhesive. I know it’s not OEM but I added some cable ties for safety.
