The car would not start this morning had to be towed in by AA to the local Renault dealers so the fun begins .

No just turns over .

Did AA man fiddle with battery leads? If he didn't hopefully their computer should be able to diagnose. Mine did this and an ecu re-right cured it with no problems at all since. good luck.

They have put a new tdc sensor on so hopefully that will be it .

i'll say immob chip in the key...
my mk1 172 chip failed 2 twice..the garage re programed in mins..
did you try the spare key?
