Hello all OO's and thanks to Rik for reaching out - my car was registered 30/09/2005 (#401)

I'm interested in how many of us knew what we were getting or whether you fell into it as I did.
Basically I rang a local Renault garage asking for a price on a standard Sport and they said, "Oh, we do have a Trophy here if you are interested..." and so I took it. They even offered a discount!

My OO story....I'd been driving a 172 Sport for 5 years by 2005, and years earlier (1992) I'd regretted having to go for a 16V rather than a Williams because of the Williams sunroof taking out too much headroom for me. Spotted a Trophy on the A50 in September 2005 and knew I had to have one as a replacement for the 172. Bought through Broadspeed at a fairly crazy discount. List was £15,995, I paid £12,800 or thereabouts, crazy in retrospect.
