Hey, I'm new here, just joined to I can keep an eye on any gems that come up to sale that I may want to nab in the near future as I'd love to own one of these pocket rockets, especially as their getting sort after and could be an investment for the future!

Anyway down to the point, I'm finding it hard to find any info about harness bars on the 182's, I've search online and on the forums but can't find much info about them.

I know Ktec do one and I know its a big pricey but wanted to know peoples opinions on them, is it the case of you can put a price on safety? Are they safe enough to withstand an accident?

Would love to hear peoples opinions on them.

Cheers

I admit I don't have a clue about this sort of thing, but if you mean attaching the strap in the back of the car, I think some people use a rear strut brace

I certainly looks like the most practical means of fitting harnesses should you insist on it being fitted to a harness bar. The only other option is to fit a rear cage. I'd be pretty confident using it in terms of safety, it uses the existing seatbelt mounting points and perhaps it will add some protection against impacts from the side?

I would definitely not recommend fitting it to a rear strut brace. I've seen quite a few people fit them like that also, natural selection springs to mind.

Yes that's the one I was referring too. It seems to be the best option if you want to fit harnesses without installing a rear cage or having to remove the rear seats. It is bloody expensive though!
