Odd question re servo hose

OK, here's an odd one, should there be any heat shielding round the servo hose, or at least between it and the bulk of the engine? Managed to melt mine last MOT when they were doing emissions. Am now wondering if a bit of shielding I never noticed before has disappeared...

How did I know it melted? No servo hose suck has somewhat of an effect on braking ; )
