I will have a good look at mine. I’ve ordered badges, wiper arm and blade, grille, clips, decals, little black vinyl bumper stickers, all new glass and seals.
It goes in on Monday. I’ll post some progress pics.
I’ll get the underside dry ice blasted, rust treated and waxed just to finish things off.
The things we do!!!!

I think you are going to genuinely knock it out of the park when it’s all comes together.

It does get under your skin though doesn’t it but when finished you can look back and say wow.

I had mine out the other week and it still makes me smile 😊 😊

That’s amazing. Great depth of colour. Do you have any more pics?

I started my mission with a 1 owner original never painted shit tip, but after £800 of paint made the bodywork look like this - the original paintwork on these things are quite amazing.

Both rear quarters painted ( windows out) along with the bonnet, both bumpers side sills and door handles- roof strips petrol cap and boot surround.

Doesn’t leave a lot left - but wings doors roof tailgate side strips and mirror caps are all left with the original paint and blend in as you can see from the images but also leaving it hard to tell it’s been done.

What you have got to way up is - do you need a full respray or can you work around it ???

Great job!

I’ve lost 50% of the paint from my wing mirrors. I agree that less can be more on restorations.

I’ve left the scope to the discretion of the guys at Twenty Ten Engineering. I was pleased with the Pilkington glass replacement package. £950 for the whole lot.

Im looking forward to catching up at the next get together.

Another thing I was going to mention Peter that makes another massive difference and definitely lifts the front end are a set of new front fogs lights - but how much Now - and what a price difference between KAM and RPD.

Fog lights should hopefully be ok as I replaced them with genuine ones from either KAM racing or RPD can’t remember though! 👍🏼

I thought about a new front screen but my mate Ed @photo_ed said not to bother as it’s in great condition

Everything does add up quickly though in the quest for perfection - My resto has cost me just over 8k which I think is realistic - but that also includes paying £2350 for a complete set of suspension - fronts and rears and springs all around.

I thought they looked pretty good!

Another great win is the interior Mike. It’s so important to have an original and damage free cabin. It’s where you spend your time.

I just replaced the trim clips on the door frame vertical trims (can’t think what else to call them) courtesy of Amazon. They are solid now. A surprisingly rattle free car for 20 years old.
