My misses reakons the wipers slow down when you come to a halt and speed up again when you go above a certain speed. never noticed myself. is this true?

If you have them on continuous wipe and then you stop for the lights, they will slow down to an intermitant wipe and then when you move they go back to normal

When mine does idiosyncratic things like that, I assume it's just because it's a Renault with a mind of its own....
