Love it.
Best mate had a white phase 2 21 Turbo was the first properly fast (back in the early 90's) car I experienced. Loved it (it was our wedding car).

It needs a bit of tlc body wise but mechanically it's pretty good. Interior isn't too bad either. Its so cool to drive, pretty fast even by today's standards. It sounds amazing and smells great!

Used to occasionally get one of those as a courtesy car when my 5 GT turbo was being serviced. How didn't get nicked for speeding I'll never know.

It was a bit of a 'yeah why not' moment.

Been a while since Ive been on here! Trophy has taken a back seat since I bought the 21. Been using it every day. Its been pretty reliable too, only had a boost and coolant hose split in the year of ownership. Spent far too much on it!

Few pics from the last year:

Not bad for a 30 year old car with 184000 miles! standard boost, would be around 220 if I ran 18psi but the clutch slips.

Great to see this getting some TLC. One of my buddies had one back in the day.

Rarer than a 182 Trophy now too [emoji6]

Yeah I seem to have a thing with rare cars. It costs a fortune to maintain, lucky it didn't need any welding for the MOT and surprisingly its pretty good underneath. Strut tops are a little scabby which is one of the main places they go, that and where the strut ties into the inner wing. Only costs £125 to insure it. Tax is £250 or what ever it is now days. It does on average 22 mpg. Will do about 30 if your very light with the throttle. Sounds great, smells even better and when running 18psi it suprises a lot of cars, it's mid range pull is crazy.
