Just swapping over to an aftermarket induction kit for a bit of fun.

What's the trick to removing the lower air pipe that runs down behind and below the battery/headlight?

I've tried a bit of force but don't want to break it as it's in perfect condition and I think these are difficult to come by'

It’s a long time since I did it but your best bet is to go in through the the wheel arch, remove the liners and then you should be able to get at the lower pipe and acoustic valve assembly.

Good suggestion - can’t feel any clips on it so think it’s just a firm push on.

From what I remember the pipes just had a couple of locators on either side of the flatter lengths. Would have thought a good squeeze would get the pipe off one side at a time.

Maybe I just need to put a bit more effort in! Scared to break the tube as it's in very good condition.

Yep the plastic is quite flexible and they just use buttons that are located into holes on the part it is attached to, push the button through the hole and it can be released. I just can’t remember how that tube is attached to the valve.

It might be the lower pipe needs a twist to be able to remove it.

pop the buttons as Jules said between the air box and the pipe. So only the pipes in the car. Then see if the end will twist and pull out of the arch area.

can’t remember the exact sequence but it’s defiantly not hard from memory.

Looks great. How's the performance and sound?

I'm about to attempt the same job. Any hints and tips you could give me?
