A mate of mine here (a garage owner) just asked me to see if I could find him a cheaper price in blighty for a 2009 Honda Civic diesel particle filter........5000 (yes three zeros) euros!!! The best I could find was 4100 quid 
Never was an oil burner fan but this convinces me it's never going to happen in my garage; I can get a full stainless sport system with sports cats for my 997 for less than that lol!!
On top of that, I understand DPF's sap what horespower there might be with a diesel; well worth the money then
