I’m interested in getting some but wonder if there are any negatives?

For example, I’m led to believe the frame lowers the seat by 1.5”. Does this mean the seat belt fastener ends up being 1.5” higher and potentially digs into your thigh?

Any idea how much extra legroom you get?

cheers

There are no negatives. These subframes totally transforms the driving position.
The oem seat height in the regular 182 and the Trophy is way too high especially for taller drivers.

Great - thanks for the feedback.

Does anyone else have any comments?

Here they are fitted in my car. Both seats as far back as they go. JF frames on the drivers seat standard frames on the passenger. Money well spent.

Just my 2pth...

As im 6ft 5" tall with long legs, i did contemplate a set of these for my T, but after sitting in a car with them fitted i chose not to proceed..

I only sat in the car ,, didnt drive it... So it might,ve been different if ide driven the car....

What i found was my legs / knees felt to be bent in a slightly different position, not comfy for me...

BUT,,, there does seem to be a lot of folk who rave about them. So please dont let my comment put you off...

Cheers Dave.

Many thanks for all your feedback. It would be great to sit in a car with these fitted, does anyone live close’ish to Cambridge or drive past occasionally? Cheers

If you’re going to PH25 in August my car will be on display so you can sit in it there.

I'm also onboard with the raving about these. You finally feel a part of the car when enjoying yourself. Yes, it does make the ankle hinge a little awkwardly, which can be a pain in traffic, especially with the 182's heavy clutch, but it's worth the trade-off imho
