Hi Folks.

Yes it that old chestnut of agreed value policies again...

Its insurance time for 283....

Apparently my insurance co [A Plan ] are no longer doing agreed value policies,, They failed to inform me last year , so ive had 12 months of no agreed value, good job i didnt need it...

So has anybody managed to get an agreed value on there car with a NEW policy. And if so, which company have you used.??
Thanks Dave.

A couple of years ago I was a new customer with Keith Michaels who did the business. Can’t say with any certainty that they’re still offering it to new new customers.

All the best

spoonhunter. Thanks for the info, but it seems they only work through brokers and not direct with the customer. Which broker did you use.

Hiya I looked at my last renewal, telephone number is 0333 0433911 - RH (a hiscox company), premium is about £300. Thanks, Rick.

Mine is Adrian Flux with Ageas underwriting the risk at £8000 agreed value. This was at something of a low point in Trophy values pre-Brexit!

I’m with Adrian Flux too with #110, 4K miles a year at a cost of £330 and an agreed valuation of £8500. Happy with that really

So far ,, thanks chaps.
Did any of you had to provide a written "specialists" report of the car to get the agreed value, or how else did you prove it was worth the value you placed on it.
I understand about providing picture proof. But ive been asked to get a written condition report..

My car has 48k miles ,it does around 2-3k miles per year,,,and idve though £10K was a realistic value..
Most of the WWeekenders have seen my car and ide like to think its a good one..

Claude, ive been in touch with Keith Michaels and yes they do still offer agreed values, with conditions, ie a written specialist report, something im going to struggle to get. As my specialist isnt really that local, and its not been to them for a while, [ not needed anything doing]...
And they thought £10K was a high value, at which point i replied ,, try and find one of my cars spec and condition for less...

They asked me to send particular pictures of the car and some basic information from it, chassis number mileage etc and that was about it. They agreed it within a couple of days

My insurance is up at the end of march and I have been with GreenLight for almost 10 years.
Price has went up slightly and agree'd value has stayed the same.

Think im going to try Adrian Flux or ERS in the next few weeks.

Are there any other providers to try since this thread was last updated?

Previous owner of #167 had it valued at £6k during his ownership with a £300 premium via Adrian Flux/Aviva (I believe). My current premium is around £850 (ouch) with Admiral directly for 4k miles/year in London (0 NCB as I don't have NCB history in the UK).

Motor Direct / A-Plan. Tel: 01993 894 661.

I've been in conversation with them about providing all forum members with Trophy-specific insurance, including AGREED VALUE insurance. I've been insured with them for several years and can vouch for their professionalism. If you've been with Adrian Flux and others, you'll hopefully find these guys are miles better..

They confirmed this morning they are able to offer this. Their customer service staff understand our needs and are waiting to provide quotes.

It'll be interesting to hear what people think of their quotes/service.

Hope this helps.

Good to know.
I was originally with A-Plan, but swapped to Adrian Flux,, as they removed the agreed value. If they have re-instated it, ill be calling them at insurance time....

A-Plan and Adrian Flux are both brokers, which means that they each rely on there being a number of underwriters willing to write agreed value policies. So if A-Plan merely access the same limited number of underwriters as Flux then the market, and prices, don’t change. As far as I know, there’s very few agreed value underwriters - Ageas, Equity Red Star, ??. Does anyone have agreed value cover that is underwritten by a different underwriter?
