Improved speakers.?

Has anybody upgraded there in car speakers.?
If so with what.?
Im not wanting to add amps etc , just upgrade the standard kit.
But im contemplating one of the small underseat subs...

I upgraded the head unit (Alpine CDA-117ri), then I wanted a little bit more so I changed the component speakers to JL Audio something or others.

At the same time I also picked up a Genesis amp mounted under the passenger seat to power the fronts.

I was an improvement although how much was placebo I'm not sure. What I do know is that it lacked bass and I was a bit disappointed.

I recently picked up an Alpine SWE-1200, mounted under the driver's seat, controls sleekly fitted in the small compartment under the ESP switch, mini amp hidden under the storage in front of the gear stick.

Hugely impressed with the results. Not shaking windows, it never would, but it adds a depth that was previously missing. Fully recommended!

Just a quick update.
Fitted the Alpine SWE-1200 sub today, along with a replacement head unit, Becker Grand Prix..
All I can say is WOW, what a difference...
Major improvement on the sound...
