Help on where to buy new turinis

hi all
I'm needing a set of new turinis. From a little light reading it seems the cup & trophy wheels are slightly different.

Obviously there are plenty of places selling turinis but generally they just say they fit both cup & trophy. Is this correct or not?

If anyone could recommend somewhere that sells genuine trophy wheels in the correct paint code it would be massively appreciated

Renault would be best bet, will be right color and off set

Can you still get them brand new from Renault?

If not, you can go to Speedline direct but they have a different centre cap (non-Renault), and I don’t think it’s interchangeable with an OEM centre either (??), and I doubt they do them in the desired colour.

You may need to source a used set and refurbish them, unless you find someone with spares.

I bought some from Renault about a year ago

Off the shelf sppedlines are 43.5 eta and have a slightly larger center bore so you can’t fit Renault centre caps.

Hmm tricky as I thought. I'm going to Renault to order some other parts so will ask while there. Was hoping I could get something online as usually works out cheaper.

Not too keen on the second hand market for wheels. The wheels (bought second hand by a previous owner) currently on the car have 2 that need replacing. Although I'm taking the car to a specialist to check all properly. So in theory I only need 2, however they've been sprayed a darker colour. Looks great but my intention is to return the car to original. Therefore by the time I factor in respray cost etc on the good ones & possible refurb (although they seem pretty good to my untrained eye) I just thought I might treat the car to a new set & either sell the good ones or keep as spares & use the knackered ones for under the car when It's jacked up.

I usually order from Renault Wolverhampton as they are Renault retail group and not a franchise.

However then get them delivered to my nearest RRG for free. In my case Manchester.

There’s a thread in the technical section for part numbers.

I would say buying 2 just won’t work.

Others will also tell you original Renault Turinis also have no embossed details around the rim.
Renault replacement ones do. So even mint originals next to mint replacement do look marginally different.

Paper works in storage but off the top of my head was about £700 with £100 of that being centre caps.

Not been on for a while, and when I do Chris is putting my name forward........ must have special powers!
Anyway, if the part number is correct (8200514737) they are no longer available from Renault - if they were they would be £232.32 inc vat each.

If the wheels are in decent shape then a full refurb and finished with Ixell 205-110, sprayed not powder coated, if you want an exact match.

Is it that the powder coating is not available in the correct colour?
How are the Bridgestone tyres?

I would imagine the centre caps can only be wet painted.. so might mismatch if you powder... but that just a guess.

I had the wheels acid dipped to start off with (removed the corrosion) powder coated in grey primer and then rubbed down before painting.
Ixell is a Renault paint that to my knowledge is not available to use for powder coating. I think some owners have powder coated their wheels in a similar shade, you would have to talk with your wheel man as to what is possible and decide which way to jump.
The only coating I have put on the wheels is some polish.

I have been happy with the Bridgestones, infact by happy chance my BMW 4 series has them as well!!
I went for them as they have been developed for small sporty cars as an aftermarket fitment and have since been "developed" further.
They offer excellent grip in the dry, I wanted them for the summer and I also considered the Yokohamas but these had a better wet rating.
Not especially important but we get a fair bit of rain in these parts so I thought it might be prudent to take it into account!
I run them at 30 psi front 28 rear.

Just look out for some used ones and get them refinished. I’ve had 3 sets during the time I’ve had the car, I’m down to 2 sets now, the ones on the car and a spare set. There’s some on here with even more than that.
Keep away from the Renault supplied new ones, as Dablk says, they have casting letters all over the faces of them. I had my wheels powder coated, the guy did a powder mix to match the original colour. Don’t get too hung up on it, as long as they are close and all the same colour that’s all you need.

Thanks for the information on wheels & tyres, after 13 years of ownership it's time to have the wheels refurbished and a new set of tyres.

@Saint27 what type of wheel studs are they in the picture? Just after having my wheels done a couple years back in the paint code you say, taking the wheel on and off has chipped away at the edge, just they look a smaller stud
