I have agreed value through Adrian Flux, underwritten by Ageas. Only accepted agreed value of £6K. I'm probably one of the "unrealistic" customers who asked Greenlight for £8K agreed value on an unmodified, well-maintained, 43K mileage Trophy.

Prices have changed a lot over the last 12 months and more so the last six. The insurance companies take longer to change than the market does unfortunately.

Try Specialist Insurance on 01277 206911. I have another car insured with them, would be my first port of call when the Trophy is due in March. Maybe we need to mention that there could be a few policy purchases out there?
I just want to clear a few things up for some people.
I have spoke with Neil via PM and also spoke to greenlight on the phone.
The only people that will NOT get an agreed value on there trophys are people opening a new policy.
If you already have a policy with agreed value on it you DO NOT lose the agreed value come renewal time providing you continue to stay with greenlight and carry on with your policy.
While on the phone to green light i was told that a trophy owner has tried to get an agreed value of over £20k which is just crazy in my eyes.
Like I say above it's only people who are opening a new policy with green light that have not got agreed value already.

I had same conversation Marc yesterday when I renewed with them. They told me about the 20k punter! I still can't understand though why they have stopped taking on new agreed value business, all they need to say is no to any value they think OTT.
I've stuck with them because it's good value at £200 fully comp agreed value. The only thing they don't do which has been mentioned is review your value upwards so you that's a future decision if you feel their valuation is dropping well behind

Fraid not, wouldn't quote for me despite other vehicles in household. Capped at 5000 miles and no commuting.
I have a clean license and am with Greenlight with a £6000 agreed value on my unmodified clean Trophy (apart from custom stainless exhaust) for a premium around £350 (30/09/16).
Having done around 83k miles at the time, I am allowed 7k miles in the year and am able to modify this if it becomes apparent that I'm going to exceed it later in the policy year.
What is probably unusual is that it includes "...the carriage of goods or samples in connection with [my] trade or business..."
However, this 'special' treatment is not written into the policy and so I had the amendment accepted in a simple recorded conversation.
This was what made a previous arrangement tortuous with Adrian Flux to whom I had even paid the premium even more frustrating as contrary to the conversation, also had no clause that permitted my goods/samples carrying, and in their case, would not change to what had been discussed and agreed at length (I was reimbursed).

Has anyone made any progress on this at all ?
Greenlight still take some beating but really only for existing customers as they won't isssue any new agreed value policies. I never bothered looking anywhere else.
I'm sure there are specialist insurers out there who will provide some form of agreed value, maybe worth looking in the back of EVO and similar mags to see what's out there

nope, i will try again closer to the time, i will most likely stay with Greenlight again anyway, as the agreed value they gave is still good
I guess most will be keeping quiet until their renewal as they have no reason to chase it up yet and in case people pile in and they withdraw the cover as Greenlight. I was thinking of moving but will be tapping up my present suppliers before looking around and will post here.

A bit unfair really. Green light are good to deal with and you get to speak to an English speaking person in this country. It is their underwriters who took the decision not them. I'm sure Greenlight would have been happy to continue, as they still do with other models, but their insurers decided they didn't want to be involved in valuing the Trophy model.
I think they do, they have a good reputation across the "hot hatch" and modified car owners. It's only the Trophy they don't offer agreed value on and that's only on new business. I'm guessing they look at delivering the product to the broader customer base, as a new customer you either accept the terms or go elsewhere.
