Im a chris moyles listener im afraid, although i have to agree wogan is a legend!
I thought it was a predicatbly emotional ending, given my mum used to have him on R2 about 1970! (we had a VHF / UHF television... )
Then he mentioned being back on the radio in February - and I wasn't quite as overwhelmed! Not quite The End as such.

That;s the problem, they don't actually retire, they just get re-packaged.
When Johnny Carson retired from The Tonight Show, that was a proper milestone. He was done, finished, didn't come back.
Terry has enough money and he is old enough that he should have done the same.
