gear knob

hi im looking at getting rid of my plastic gear knob and handbreak casing on my trophy, any ideas how they are removed?

Handbrake cover should be no trouble but the gear knob is a little cun t and it requires a bit of violence. If you can get it off without destroying it, then I think you'll be the first.
