Wow, the mounting system is great! It really looks free to move in the direction you want. Have you noticed any difference in vibration through the car?

Sounds epic too!

Going to this from my BTM none at all. If anything I’d say cabin vibrations are reduced due to a proper mounting system. No drone, no nasty resonance, no tinny rasp.

Just looks, fits and sounds absolutely bang on.

Lol it has been a bit like that hasn’t it. Owned the BTM from new when BTM were still around and afteR many years, just fancied a change. Different look and sound. Always wanted an Orbisoud and when one became available, I just had to try it out. Decided its aesthetic wasn’t for me and now have everything I want in the PMS. Granted it’s not Simpson’s quality but it’s less than half Simpson’s money.

I have to say, Im very happy and this one is staying for sure. ?

Got my winter Speedlines back from Karl @ Rim Renov8 in Colchester tonight.
Superb job, wheels are mega sparkly, nicely finished and the Speedline logos are paint not decals so they’re perfect and under the lacquer.

To be honest he said it stook them 4 attempts to get the logos right as theyre so small and fine. I bet it was a twat of a job to do, but the finished result is nice and i think its the difference between a good job and something a bit more special. :)

After 127k miles my original climate panel was still perfectly functional but the button logos had worn quite badly. Pickup a spare climate panel from a member which was still a sticky sport item but I was going to steal the buttons from it because they were mint. When I stripped it down i decided to clean it all up anyway and seeing as it came up nice, I decided to use it.

I’m still after a tidy non sticky dash tip section and hazard panel if I can find one. I’d love to have these all painted in an OEM satin metallic colour one day along with the door pulls. I’d like to do more on the interior really as it’s where most of my time is in the car.

It’s only a small thing but it makes such a difference to lifting the interior.

Did you get them from ktec? I have just ordered a set of fondmetal san remo evo corse 6 spoke for the meggy but have at least 2 weeks to wait :(

Thanks, I think I agree. I have to say they’re nicer than I expected to be honest. They also make the puny brakes look huge haha.

They're almost like a perfect blend between a Turini, and an OZ Superleggera, two great wheels, but these are even more special...! Great choice. Can't wait to see a pic of them fitted. (y)

@Gambit and anyone else looking to run these on a Brembo setup.

2118s ET43 with a 10mm Slip on PMS spacer gives 29mm clearance from a stock caliper.

X3MA ET38 with no spacer gives 33mm clearance from a stock caliper.

Looks like I’m deffo going to have to clean up my arches and make my calipers pretty as now they will be seen. ?

So the lunacy continues as i made the 3 hour round trip over to see Rich @ Ruislip Tyres today to get the EVOs fitted.
Exceptional service as always from him taking the upmost care in everything he does. If you're over that way i can highly reccommend him, as a good tyre fitter is like golddust these days.
Approx 3kg per corner lost with these over the 2118s fitted and i have to say, so far im rather pleased. Ive fitted new EVO Corse motorsport spec extended lug nuts too, however on the front these consume the whole stud, so i may add some longer studs here to utilise the whole thread in the lugnut.

Something I’ve been after for a while is a PMS sump guard. I’m always mindful that the car is pretty low and when pressing on in the back of my mind about catching the underside on something.
Luckily one came up on eBay in good condition a few weeks back, so ordered new M8 RivNuts from Nick @ PMS, I already had stainless fasteners in stock.
Fitted it up tonight, which was going perfectly till one of the fasteners nipped up. I’m guessing either a burr on the bolt or insert thread. This then spun the insert upon removal and I knew I was in for some unexpected agro.
Drilled it out and carried on, however where it spun the hole is now so slightly oversized to accept a new insert. There’s so many fixings on it, I’ll live without that one. The rest I copper slipped before final fitting and bolted them up tight.

I can’t see any foul areas on it but I have noticed quite a increase in NVH from it, but not enough that I feel it’s fouling any of the transmission. I’ll have it off again tomorrow and double check for any witness marks. It’s got to come back off anyway as I’ve picked up a pair of Ktec/Vibratechnic engine & gearbox mounts for it.

Biggest surprise is how much it’s stiffened the front end. It feels a more significant improvement than the strut brace added, I totally didn’t expect to notice. I’m not expecting any issues with under bonnet temps but I’ll keep an eye on that too.

Not much to update on the little 182.
Popped to Caffeine & Machine the other week with friends inc @Dr Jekyll, @MrBlonde & @Ash J.
Great day with the company in tow but less said about the actual place the better. Hugely overrated imo and as expected typical Instagram style over substance. Left the Clio at home and took the R for a run. Probably alright if it’s on your doorstep but I’ve got better places local and not worth the 340mile round trip for me to rush back.

Got my Speedlines coated this week ready to go on for winter duty with the Michelin PS3s. KKD R-Evolve should keep them nice.
Finally succumbed to putting them on today, along with on the smaller 5mm spacers and wound the dampers back to 3/12 and 2/12 front & rear.
Always looks cool on Turinis. ?
