Hey guys,

I have had an ITG replacement filter in my possession for sometime an am yet to fit it (bought from Oliie when he sold his car). Whilst doing some research I came across a number of comments on various forums suggesting that in order to allow higher air flow, there is a sacrifice in terms of the amount of debris that is thus allowed to pass through into the engine. I'm interested to what the opinions are on this and welcome any guidance - I'd rather forgo fitting the filter than allowing more dust into my engine...?!

yes, that is true, I would imagine that forcing air through an oil filled sponge (effectively) would be pretty efficient, I just wonder how they compare to the standard set up in terms of what they allow through..

How much have you cleaned yours?
