Engine revs itself at Idle

Hi guys, my car has picked up a fault. I have the ABS sensor and traction control light on. The issue is that it revs itself when sat at juntions. I sound like a right knob! the throttle just keeps picking up revving between 1500 and 2000 rpm.

anyone had this before?

Has it had any work done recently? Would say throttle body, usual cause of these type of issues

nut and bolt rebuild on everything except the engine!

Remove the surface corrosion on the pins { male and female ) of the 90 pin ECU connector with a good switch cleaner such as Servisol Super 10.

Works 95% of fhe time, hardware fails are rare.

Gave that a go, didn't work. I have it booked in to a Renault specialist this week so see what they say.

Repeat the procedure with the large white connector R255 under the fuses & relays in the engine bay fuse box.
Also the throttle body and throttle pedal plugs.

Did you ever get to the bottom of this? Sounds exactly like mine

This sounds similar to mine the other night but mine went into limp home mode, I wonder if it could be your throttle body, I cleaned mine (easy to take off and clean with wd40) but the codes will still need erasing
