Last oil change I used oem Elf.

Are they any better oils out there?

if so, how are they better (is there any real evidence or are people just reading the marketing blurb?)

Cue - why does Silkolene get your vote? Are you trusting what their marketing blurb says or do you know that it is actually good stuff?

Going by the tech data and guy's (from opie oils) recommendation it's about as good as they come. Although as I say Shell Helix comes out almost identical.

Its the same with most things, you get what you pay for but at the end of the day your better off changing the oil more frequently.

Agree with Sir Gazza about changing oil frequently, just curious to know if there is any independent proof/data to suggest one oil is better than another....

Loughborough but mainly on trackdays!
I change the oil at least twice a yr.
Think my T had, had 6 or 7 changes in 17K no wonder the oil was still looked like it came out the bottle
The Helix is good but then any oil is if you don't leave it in for too long
