Been reading a few old threads about getting a induction kit fitted then having to get a remap?
I was told ages ago that the standard ECU is self teaching up to a certian point, obviously if your fitting exhaust etc you would need a map but just 4 induction kit i dont think so.
My onld clio had a viper on 4 about 1 year before i got a exhaust and remap and the car ran fine.
Any help please?

it's a bit of an urban myth is this self learning ECU. it'll change certain settings if for instance it's colder or warmer, or the fuel octane is different but it won't change compression ratio's i think or learn a different drivers style to maximise mpg etc.
