Creaky First/second/first Gear Change

Has anyone experienced a creaky feeling in the gear lever when changing from 1st to 2nd and back? Seems to have appeared in the warmer weather.

Maybe some sort of bushes have perished?

iirc it just has a couple of clips front and back, they do get brittle with age but new ones lift the look.

A new gaiter comes with a cable tie.

Perfect, thank you. I’ll pick up a replacement.

Managed to get it off but it looks like a previous owner had broken the clips and had glued it in.
