Courier to send dampers to BG

Just wondering what courier people use to send their dampers into BG when getting refurbed? What do they weigh and how much are people paying?

If your sending to BG your already paying too much so a bit extra on the delivery should be no problem..

What are the other options for refurbs? I thought they were the only ones that did it?

I recently used parcel force to send a set of sachs to Rik Perry to refurb - might be worth contacting him regarding any refurb work as I know he has stocks of spare parts and has the equipment to refurb dampers.

Options are

BG Very good but charge loads too much
Cornering force ( Simon ) Fair price and great work..
Or Me .. F1 Engineer.. Even better price as I love trophys and want to see them well looked after. Even better parts than standard sach parts as they are F1 spec ..

Hi Rik, I agree with you that BG are quite pricey which is why I've been holding off sending it too them for the time being.
I've spoken to CF and they have quotes me around £100 cheaper.

Does this mean you're able to refresh and seal the dampers? if so can you provide a ball park cost for the job? It's good to see that you have a trophy yourself and want to see the cars looked after.

I had mine back the other day, i was lucky enough to work with someone that lived up the road from them, They did a great job and returned them in just over a week, putting them back on this weekend

BG arranged collection when I had mine done earlier in the year. The cost was then added to the final bill (£20 + VAT from memory).

1) package it well and use parcel2go to compare and save
2) I used Simon at cornering force, top bloke, always answers the phone, did a top job and when I had problems with one of the dampers he was quick to resolve it, which is when you get a true reflection of what a company/person is about!
