Cliotrophy Insurance Discount scheme?

Hi

My name is Neil and I work at Greenlight Insurance a specialist broker for modified and performance cars.

I was wondering if Cliotrophy would be interested in setting up a discount scheme with us for its members. We do something similar for Cliosport.net at the moment and get great feedback.

We offer some great benefits that could be of interest to your members like:

1. Agreed Value cover option: This offers a guarenteed agreed payment in the event of a total loss claim rather than potentially getting paid a "book price" for your car by other insurance companies. The Clio Trophy holds a higher value than a standard 182 and a lot of mainstream insurers do not realise the difference which can be a nightmare if a claim occurs.
2. Modifications Cover: We can cater for modified vehicles and cover all modifications on a like for like replacement in the event of a repair. (We dont charge for any modifications unless there are large BHP gains)
3. Track Day Cover: We can offer policies that offer track day insurance with costs starting at £45

Great idea Neil, especially for those who aren't active across both forums.

I'm not sure whether you're represented on Facebook but there's a ClioTrophy group used by some who aren't active here or on Cliosport.net, plus there's the very popular Clio Sport Owners Club group too.

I've had the Trophy insured with Greenlight for the last 7 years. The customer service has been spot on and I would happily participate in the discount scheme.

Am interested in this as my insurance is up in December and is basic comp cover at the moment.

+1 mine is already with greenlight. all mods are covered and all i do is email neil and his team to add them as i go. only premium change is if you add bhp.. like a ktech exhaust and a filter and get 200bhp

Ahh ok cool, just got a Milltek cat back exhaust and ITG panel filter thats it so nothing major.

yeah i doubt neil will have a problem with an exhaust. its real power changes they are interested in. itbs/turbos/race engines etc..

plus an added bonus for me was i have not phyiscially owned a car for years before my 182. neil was able to organise somthing once i proved my clean multi year company car history to give me the equivilant.

in my situation the quote was a 1/3 of admirals...lol

Another vote for Greenlight! Mines been with them for 3 years with a guaranteed value on a limited mileage scheme.

I have also used them for years. Ideal for a lightly modded car. Just don't swap for a BMW or you'll have to go somewhere else!

Feel free to drop me a message once the online discount is set up and i'll organise you a quote on a specilaist policy with agreed value that can cater for modifications as well, our rates on the trophy models are competitive so hopefully come back with a good price.

We already offer a discount for Cliosport but thought it made sense to get something specific set up for the Trophy site as well because not all members will be on both forums.

Our underwriters off the discount on Cliosport for both normal members and paid up members. They are targetting enthusiast drivers so want forum members and dont specify if you are a free member or paid up....A lot of forums are like Cliotrophy and free to join but we still offer a discount.

Does anyone know which admin/moderator we need to speak to regarding setting up something official?

I'm currently ensured with greenlight. Great customer service and the man on the phone who I took out the insurance with even knew everything about our trophies, which is a first for me, usually people don't have a clue what they are.
I added my RS192 exhaust system which didn't make a difference to the cost, which was fairly good anyway. would deffinately recommend these, and will consider the group buy when I need renewal in 6 months time

Sorry for the delay i was on holiday last week. For agreed value you would just be asked to provide photgraphs

We can do mirrored NCB so you can run two cars, it would be easier to talk through the various options over the phone for you specific case so keep us in mind for when your policy is due or drop me a PM at the time.

I dont want to market our contact details on here until we have something official in place as i dont want to step on anyones toes.
