I have owned this car for 2 years now and have loved every second of it, only selling due to lack of will power made me by an M3! Pictures show my original plate but car is now back on its original number GN55 AYD

The car has wanted for nothing and has a huge amount spent on it very recently including...

- Full service in Jan 2018
- Brand new rear discs and pads (oem)
- Brand new Brembo front discs (Extra Carbon) and Ferrodo DS2500 pads
- Fully refurbished front Sachs done just one month ago including blasting and powdercoating
- Brand new Renault top mounts fitted with shocks
- Four new injectors
- Four brand new Yokohama AD08R tyres fitted last month which are fantastic

It has full service history and and a folder full of receipts. All motorway miles and is reflected in the condition of the car. The car has has a re-trimmed steering wheel in suede which looks and feels fantastic. Wheels were refurbished just before I brought it and are all in nice condition. Miltek cat back exhaust system which sounds brilliant. KTec induction kit with cone filter fitted.

Interior is in near perfect condition. No flaking on the heater panel, original Renaultsport carpet mats front and rear. Fitted with original Renault CD changer with additional iPod connector.

Car has had the xenon lights fitted but original halogen lights will come with the car. It has also had the wiper stalk upgrade to enable the intermittent wiper control.

It drives and rides faultless and flew through its MOT in March without any issues or advisories. All belts and dephaser pulley up to date and not due for a few years.

Sorry pasted from my eBay add and the mileage was In a different section! It's covered 126,000 now but as you'll see from the mot history mostly covered on the motorway over the past 4/5 years, hence the condition it's still in :)

Still over priced imo, not trying to have a dig, just why it hasn't sold.

There’s 6 for sale on PH and about 9 on eBay, obviously some overlap but it’s a buyers market at the moment with very few buyers. I think the harsh reality is that if you have a car with 100k plus on the clock you’re going to be at the bottom of the shopping list unless you pitch it round about £4.5 -£5k ish

I'm in no particular rush and certainly won't be giving it away with the money that has been spent on it over the past 6 months. We all know that you can have a high motorway mileage car that is in better condition than a 50-60k one, it just depends on how they have been looked after and the history.

We all know that you can have a high motorway mileage car that is in better condition than a 50-60k one, it just depends on how they have been looked after and the history.

It’s not a negative observation but over my 40years of driving I’ve read it many times so what is the perceived selling point of “motorway miles” over miles done on a variety of roads including motorways?
So simplistically I’m thinking the clutch possibly hasn’t been pressed as many times, the steering hasn’t been turned as much, maybe the brakes haven’t been applied as much and the indicator stalk hasn’t been flicked up and down (although with Audi and BMW they get virtually no use anyway).

On the other side of the coin the car has maybe been run at higher speed with higher engine temperatures possibly at constant revs for long periods....maybe 2 or 3 hours. Maybe 10 ft from the car in front, overtaking and being overtaken by many cars and lorries in close proximity so possibly subject to a lot of flying debris.

Back to the non motorway miles and maybe the car is crammed with school run kids, careless passengers, sticky sweets, dumpit site garden waste. Then we get the supermarket trolley dings, careless 70 year olds opening the Honda Jazz door in Waitrose car park.

So what would be the preference of the great collective on here, 100,000 miles done up and down the M6 or something that’s pottered around the leafy suburbs of somewhere in the Home Counties.

Just my thoughts on a Thursday night

Personally I think it's good value. A well cared for, enthusiast owned Trophy ready to go and have some fun in.
I think it's been said before just because it's a lower miler, few owner example does not mean it's minty fresh.
These cars are 13 years old now and if we are going to get wrapped up in mileage stats than 12000 per year ( the so called average) equals 156000 miles over 13 years.

At 126000 the cars 30k behind average!
