Hello guys

So I sold my lupo gti today, I'm on the hunt for possible another trophy..

Requirements are

Low owners

Low miles (under 50k)

Near standard

I've seen what's on the market but none floating my boat even the 23k one.

Very strong budget!

I noticed on your Lupo thread over on Cliosport.net that you'd just sold the car.

Good luck with your Trophy search.

It's not a definite as I'm torn between a trophy and ford racing puma

But sometimes people come out of the woodwork for an easy sale

I think there was an EVO magazine article comparing the two a while ago... not sure if you saw it?

Edited to add: Issue No.262 July 2019.

Personally id avoid the Puma Stef.
Hugely underpowered and rot like old fruit. Cool looking though.

How weird, I read it a little differently. Trophy goggles I guess.
😆 I'll have to re-read it now..

I think the gist was the Trophy was the brisker and more involved drivers machine but the RP was more 'exotic', each has their appeal I guess, but it would be the Trophy all day long for me.

They were meant to build 1000 Racings however because of the high list price they built just short of 500.

Same numbers really for both but like said above both cars special in there own rights (Mk1 Focus RS was a cracking car too - bought this with 900 miles on when it was a few months old)A95F1041-AB9D-4DB6-86CF-4BBD6FB11EFC.jpeg

I had one when I was 21 best car I've had. Sadly the prices are now a little out of my reach for a good one....

These things are now crazy - my father had 2 new ones - first one stolen and put through a shop window 2nd one he put it through a wall and broke 4 ribs

I bought the below and have 2 bad memories -
1st one was I actually went to London with 15k in cash to buy a E30 M3 Evo Sport in Black but unfortunately it had a broken Front adjustable spoiler so decided to leave it - then I went to buy a London Autotrader and found the below advertised - paid £3650 with 64k on it and stunning - so the second bad memory was selling it

We will all have these bad memories I’m sure 3955B511-129E-4AC5-88E0-101D5DCAB660.jpeg

Used to buy some great stuff every week before people really new what they had - then the internet came along and made everyone an expert in knowing what they had and how much it was worth

I had just about every Ford RS models out there in my early years of driving between 1978 and 1990. Mexico’s, RS1600, RS2000’s, RS1600i, escort turbo, Sierra Cosworth, Escort 1600 sport, Harrier. What a collection (and pension) I’d have if I’d kept them all

On the subject of the RSTurbo “white lightening” as Ford called it back then, here’s mine from 1986 4AFDC036-A037-439B-8253-F8EAD6D9DBCE.jpeg

Wow Ashton - you must be a little older than me with that array of cars - I did grow up with them though
RS1600i was brand new which was my Dads - he had new XR3’s RS2000 1600 Sport - no Harrier though- that reminds me of The Minder - RS2000 Professionals
