Hi folks.

This is one for the detailers out there...

Just wondering about getting the cars paintwork coated in a ceramic protection product. Like the "Ceramic pro product"...
Has anybody had it done, and would they recomend it..
As it doesnt come cheap, i dont want to be wasting my money.

Thanks.

Friend has it on his New S3 and says it's brilliant but no idea which one.

Interesting reading, as ever lots of folk have lots to say about the subject...

It sounds like the Si02 coatings are the way to go... And a whole lot cheaper than the "nano technology" ceramic coatings...

Its not going on the Trophy, but my TVR Cerbera, ive just had it fully re-sprayed , and as its now pristine, i want to try and keep it that way.
I realise the coating is not "foolproof" or scratchproof, but im not the sort that enjoys spending the whole weekend polishing...

Oh and ive been quoted approx £700 to do the car,, ie machine prep it then 3 coats of ceramic pro,,, stuff.. So not the "cheap" option...

Cheers,, so far..............

Personally i have Gtechniq on my Cayman and im very pleased with it. However if i were to have it painted id just go down the PPF route to keep it mint.
