Cambelt intervals

Hi all,
What are the Cambelt change intervals on the 182 trophy.
Any consideration if the car has done sub 5000 miles since the last change?
If not, are the belts manufacture dated like tyres as potentially they could have been on the shelf at a dealers longer than the change timescale.

Every 5 years or 72k which ever comes first imo

Like anything with age it will perish, also getting it changed shows a good indication to how it's been looked after.

Cheers, just seems strange when some of these cars sit in heated garages and don’t move. Better conditions than most part stores

I know what you mean, and can seem like a waste. Of course personal choice as well alot wouldn't bother I'm sure.
