There might be 3 stiff rods. if these are an actual pair of decent "new" sachs for under £600
Be extra careful and don't rush. If it does not go as planned postpone it. The adjustment shaft is fragile, if you can't get the grub screw totally out by unscrewing or drilling, do not lever under the knob thinking it will break loose, the shaft will break and will be a costly repair. I know because I did it once... heat as much as you can and most importantly use a brand new allen key and from a good brand. You may have to apply a significant amount of force to break it loose and using a bad allen key you will easily round the screw head or break the tip of the key inside. Most of the time it will get out and it's done, rest is easy, gently lift the knob, remove the 2 small bearing balls. The pin will stay on the bottle cap, just pull it out using a pair of pliers, clean as there will be shavings under the knob from the pin drilling done by Renault and reinstall in reverse order :smile:. Put some grease on the bearing balls before ftting the knob back. If you needed to drill the grub screw out, redrill the knob somewhere else, tap for fitting a new grub screw. Good luck

Well this wasn’t in expected... they sacked if my parcel this morning to my alternate address .. and have just manually driven it round to my house... which i handnt even argued for.
