I've just had mine MOT'd and the tester found the bottom coil in the cup had snapped so I'm wanting to replace it. Are the springs still available, I'm guessing they are not a standard spring but are they common to all the 182/172
Is there an aftermarket replacement that is of he same dimensions and spring rate.

Any help would be appreciated

What colour are your springs ?? Trophy OEM ones are yellow , Eibach sportlines are red , Cooksport are Black ..
If its on OEM springs they are pretty expensive .. most owner fit Sportlines or cooksports in the event of a coil breaking ..

Risk, are they 182 cup or just 182 springs. I've looked around on the net this aft and the 182 springs seem to have either a white stripe or a red and white stripe. Any clues ?

Interesting then as to whether the standard 182 and the cup have the same springs. I'm guessing if they both have the red and white stripe then the answer is yes.

Standard 182 has a single white stripe same as the 172
