My car is with Sean Edwards post the ABS Sensor MOT failure, and I've asked him to bring forward (from August) the five year belt change.

Sean will do this for £720 all in that includes water pump / belts as a standard offering he does. I'm fine with that.

I will ask Sean, but what else should I get done whilst he is in there ? Clutch, Mounts, Cables, Gaskets you name it.

He will do me a two-year service so oil and filter (no need for plugs as they are nearly new) but what other fluids should be done; brake fluid for sure ?

I'm hapy to ask him to do a basket of work that is easier and best done in one go, so let me know.

p.s. he is doing it tomorrow / Friday so be quick with suggestions :)

Has the dephaser ever been changed? It's probably fine but at almost 15 years and n miles may be worth thinking about as it will now have to last another 5 years unless you do another belt change. Engine mounts? Sure I will think of some more.

Mines booked in for 17th July for its 3rd lot of belts/dephasers, im doing the following:

Belts,
Idlers
Cam seals
Dephaser
Depahser solenoid seal
Aux belt tensioner
Water pump
Coolant
Clutch
Release bearing
Gearbox oil

Its pretty much endless as to how much you can do at the same time. Mines going to AW Motorworks here in Essex. Alex said he will drop the engine out to do belts & clutch as its overall easier if you're working on both ends of the motor.
