I’m wanting to take a single rear wheel off and leave it on an axle stand. Where Is the best location on the rear axle to do so?

Thanks

For the rear, I’d go in under the back of the car to get to the rear beam. Then put the jack under the sill.

Apologies, I’ve been looking at the tread on my phone and it wasn’t showing the full pictures.
Thanks for your help.

I do exactly the same, jack it from there and put axle stands there but.... Renault does warn against it...

It may just be for safety purposes though when using a 2 post or 4 post lift.

Personally, if I was only removing a single rear wheel, I would jack it from the sill and place the axle stand at one of points I’ve circled in the attached picture. You want to place it as far out as possible so that it’s balanced.

Another option would be to jack it from the rear axle beam and support it on the sill, you would need a rubber block though to prevent damaging the sill. You only really need to use this option if you’re working on the rear suspension or removing the rear axle beam, I think this is the safest option though.
